“I sailed with Pantalasa in November, 2012 on assignment for Lonely Planet. It was a total pleasure and I have no hesitation to highly recommend them. My visit was different from the typical vacationer, as I had to plan to see tour operations on many different islands, requiring complicated logistics (and a time limit). While planning, they worked with me extensively through email to plan the trip, suggest the best itinerary, and continue to make adjustments when conditions changed. Responses to my queries were usually swift unless the sailboat was out of contact, in which case I was advised when I could expect a response. Their initial professionalism was absolute.
Once on board, the fun began. The crew proved great hosts, very relaxed and warm, they also maintained an orderly ship. Ignacio is a very experienced captain who shows concern for safety. Through their time in San Blas they have also fostered good relations with the Kuna people, supporting small businesses, bridging cultural differences and supporting artisans with direct purchases. Their knowledge of local culture and respect would enrich anyone’s visit to the San Blas archipelago. If you have time to sail this beautiful region with Pantalasa, do it. No regrets!”
